Seb takes FIVE

Posted on 04/09/2012 in News

An impressive spell of slow left arm orthodox spin bowling from young Seb Aycock at the weekend saw town triumph over St Johns in their penultimate Standard Bank Premiership fixture of the season.

The young finger spinner returned figures of 5 wickets for 2 runs from just 3.2 overs to help town to a 9 wicket win.

Both sides were short of Island players due to the ICC tournament in Corfu but it was town who took the initiative by bowling out a 9 man St Johns for 65. The target was reached in the 10th over for the loss of just 1 wicket.

A win against top of the table Ramsey next week in the final game of the Standard Bank Premiership would give town a much needed boost up the table and prevent the Northerners from taking the title if Cronkbourne can secure a win in their final game.
